Following the recent boom in trading cards, grading service PSA has been forced to temporarily close submissions.
The market of trading cards has exploded over the past several months. Many collectors are sending in their trading cards to be officially graded by PSA.
The high volume of orders that PSA received in early March has changed its ability to serve customers. In a statement, Tuesday, PSA president Steve Sloan explained, “We recently received more cards in three days than we did during the previous three months.”
The company has suspended its services and is hoping to bring all services back by July 1. This timeframe will give PSA time to work through the number of backlogged orders it has received.
